I'm planning to modify the Survey (quiz mode) or Trivia Wobject simply so that it can be used as a sort of "testbank" of questions. Basically I want non-privileged users to be able to contribute to a growing bank of q's, of course, designated privileged users will be able to edit all q's. Any advice?

It will:

1.) Allow users who are not privileged to go in admin mode to create new questions. Currently to make q's they need to be able to go into Admin mode.

2.) Won't allow non-privileged users to edit anyone else's questions, and have the question creator's username posted with the Q.

3.) Provide an explanation for each choice (correct or incorrect)

Thanks,

James

I did a diirty work around for number 2. I modified the template so it will only show the edit button only to the poster or me.

  1. I had to enable the "If"macro
  2. On the template do: IF tmpl_var user.username eq to @; ,then show the tmpl_var edit.url  ,IF @; eq azote, tmpl_var edit.url
I dont think it would help you much... but thats how I did it for now..

*I know that users can type the link on the address bar and be able to edit the posts ....

Edit: tryng to insert the webgui code for it but I dont know how .. --- (Edited at 3/26/2004 11:26 pm by azote) ---
