Wednesday, May 2nd, is the Great WebGUI Bugfix Day. Who: The entire Plain Black Staff, prominent members of the WebGUI community, and hopefully you too! The more people willing to contribute their time, and the more organizations willing to contribute their people's time, the more stable WebGUI will become. What: Our goal is to clean up the entire bug list for bugs related to WebGUI itself. It would be nice to clear up the WRE related bugs too, but that's a secondary goal. When: Starting at 9am central (GMT -500) until we give up. Where: On IRC irc://irc.freenode.org#webgui How: With the amazing amount of talent and brainpower in the WebGUI community and the Plain Black staff, "how" shouldn't even be a question. Why: If we can clean up the WebGUI bug list sufficiently, we'll be able to branch for 7.4 development and give the world a few new features, some more performance enhancements, some improvements in the user interface, and a whole lot more. We can't do these things though until the 7.3 bugs list has been cleared up. In addition, having the bug list cleaned up will allow us to put out the most stable version of WebGUI ever, and stability is good for everybody.
We hope you will join us. |

A question was asked on IRC whether the bug fixes would go into 7.3 or 7.4. The answer is 7.3. Even after we branch for 7.4 development there will still be a number of 7.3 releases made.
