If you haven't been to the site in a while, you've probably missed out on some of the changes that relate to developers. So I'm dropping a note to the dev list to let you know what's going on.First, plainblack.com has been split into plainblack.com and webgui.org, where plainblack.com is for commercial offerings and webgui.org is for the community, including developers. Second, all the developer documentation has been moved into the wiki at http://wiki.webgui.org Third, you may have noticed that traffic to this list has died down a lot this year. That's because most of the developer discussion has moved to irc at irc://irc.freenode.net#webgui This is not to say that discussion won't continue on this mailing list, it will, but the discussion will become more strategic (long term thinking) and less tactical (quick answers), as the tactical stuff is better suited to IRC. Fourth, if you want to get a really long term view I've set up a new blog where I'll be dumping my brain at http://www.plainblack.com/black-blog This is more of just random thoughts that I'm having about the present and future. Once I've gathered my thoughts and have questions that I'd like to discuss with all of you, then those questions will come back out to this list just like they always have. Well, that's all for now. I hope you feel more up to date with the goings on. |
