Inspired by Colin's awesome WebGUI Network News, issue #1, I decided to set up a "Planet WebGUI" RSS feed aggregator to make it easy for people to keep up to date with all of the activity in the WebGUI community.

So far I've added the following blogs:
It would be great to see more people blogging about WebGUI, so please let me know of any other WebGUI-related blogs I can add to the list.

The "Planet WebGUI" site is currently (hopefully just temporarily) located at: http://patspam.com/planetwebgui

Ideally it would live at http://planet.webgui.org and run on a webgui-powered rss aggregator, but i figured if planetplanet (python-based) is good enough for Planet Perl, it's good enough for us at least in the short term :)

You forgot to include to include Plainblack's Twitter! Lots of info there :-)

Seriously though, this is really useful. Thanks!

The "plainblack" twitter account was created to ensure we'd have control of the name moving forward. I also put in a request at Twitter support to acquire "webgui" since some punk decided to register the account (and not use it).
I've been resisting Twitter for about 2 years but I'm starting to come around given that it's mainstream now. I've also seen other CMS vendors incorporate this into their website as an additional communication tool. It's also apparent that several of you are using this since we have 4 people following us right now and we haven't even told anyone about the new account yet.  :)
I think it would be ideal to use the webgui account for most announcements and so hopefully Twitter votes in our favor and turns the (unused) account over to us.

I might have to fire you for creating an account on Twitter.

Darn, Travis I kinda feel responsible for that, since I brought up the Twitter thing.

But I can't give you a job here at UK; you know how it is: recession, credit cruch 'n' all... :-)

If you promise to keep on twittering on the plainblack account --- just
because JT doesn't like it ---, I'll put in a good word for you at Oqapi
corporate management. Since you already have the sweater, you already
pass the hipness requirement, so you're already half way there.

That's a good idea... *Creates United Knowledge Twitter account*

I also put in a request at Twitter support to acquire "webgui" since some punk decided to register the account (and not use it).

Hope you can work that out with them. Good luck with that!

Thanks for the explanation, Tavis.
