Hi guys, Is it possible to have a single Bazaar item that is both "free" - as in instantly downloadable without a fee - and "supported" - as in downloadable for a fee (annual support fee)? Would you need two items - the "free" version and the "free but supported" version so that you can determine who has paid for support? Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance |

Yup, you'd maintain two different versions of the item. Call one "Lite" or "Unsupported" and the other would just be the regular name. So If you had Widget X it would be: Widget X Lite - Free Widget X - $99 This way you can also include different things with it. For example The regular version might include an extra instructional PDF as a download along with the Widget X file. Or the Widget X Lite version may not have the same functionality as the regular version. Then again, the difference could simply be the support offering as you suggest. |
