Our answer to this is the National Student News Service (NSNS). We
hope that by highlighting examples of good campus journalism, we will encourage
and promote investigative journalism on college campuses. We hope that by
connecting student journalists from all over America, we can help stretch the
limited resources of smaller campus papers. We hope to provide a forum for
connecting student activists and that by doing so our coverage helps bring
their work to the attention of people of all ages.
Our staff and interns compile the best pieces of student-centered
journalism from campus newspapers across the country and post article abstracts
and links on our website. We also have a subscription option, which delivers to
your inbox our summaries of, and links to, the best of student journalism.
The National Student News Service is nonpartisan; we are not a
vehicle for endorsing either left or right wing activism. Rather, the NSNS is a
vehicle for student reporters’ investigative work, and a venue for reporting
activism by students of all social and political stripes.
