Linking Stylesheets in Metadata tab 6.7.8

I'm trying to use the 'Extra' field in the metadata tab to import a stylesheet for use with a template. Only it's not importing it on display.

I'm trying to link a snippet. I have this in the extra field:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/css/ee/jobboard.css" /> 

It's obvious when displayed that the styles are not being applied and I can't find the link in the source. 

Does anyone know if there's a step I'm missing or does this not work?
