I need to get some help on changing the Data Form template for mail submission button from save to submit?  Can I get some help on where I can find this variable to change the button.

The template I am referring to is on 7.4

Default Dataform

Thanks

Mike

You have a couple of options:

  1. In the Admin Console, under Help, you'll see the list of template variables for the different DataForm templates.  There is one called "form.send" that is already provided for you, that has an internationalized word for "Send" as the button text.
  2. You could create a custom translation of WebGUI that was completely empty except for the things you want to override.
  3. Look at the processed form output, and build your own button by replacing the template variable with what you want.  It would look something like <input type="submit" value="Submit"/>.

I would recommend option #3.  If you're making a site with multiple languages, WebGUI does provide an i18n entry for submit.  You can call it directly with a macro:

<input type="submit" value=""/>
