The CS asset can be used as a blog of sorts, but it seems to be missing some features that people really want in blogs. Specifically, categories and tags. Has anyone come up with a way to have categories in a WG blog sidebar? Thanks! Jody --- (Edited on 3/4/2009 10:24 am [GMT-0600] by troutdream) --- |

The blog is a bit week yes. It misses a lot that you expect from a full featured blog, like the calendar of your blogs, a blog API support for remote and mobile posting, and many more features. WebGUI is not a full blogging platform and I do not guess that it is a top priority. If you need premium blog functionality, it is better for you to create cross authentication between WebGUI and another blogging platform. A temporary solution might be to RSS a blog from Blogger into your WebGUI site using a Syndicated Content asset. Blogger has a tool called BlogThis, which allows you to drag a hyperlink into your bookmark toolbar and when you click it, it pops up a window that allows you to post to your blog. That would be one way to be able to display and maintain a blog without ever having to leave the WebGUI site. --- (Edited on 3/8/2009 11:42 pm [GMT-0500] by tabb) --- |
