WebGUI Worldwide History

In the fall of 2002 Webopen contacted Plain Black offering an alliance to create a worldwide network of WebGUI informational sites. The two companies then brought ProcoliX into the conversation as a possible third partner in the alliance. The negotiations turned out to be very complex, and were put on hold for a number of months.

Then in February of 2003 Webopen again contacted Plain Black hoping to resurrect the possibility of a worldwide network of WebGUI communities. This time the negotiations were kept simple. Plain Black sent out an offer letter to many of the language translation contributors to see if any had interest in joining the network. The first to respond was xgraf, and many others showed interest shortly thereafter. Considering the speed at which we received inquiries, we knew that the network would be a success. And the rest is history.
