Place SendEmailAboutVersionTag.pm in /data/WebGUI/lib/WebGUI/Workflow/Activities/

Place  Workflow_Activity_SendEmailAboutVersionTag.pm

in /data/WebGUI/lib/WebGUI/i18n/English/

add "WebGUI::Workflow::Activity::SendEmailAboutVersionTag",

to the workflow activities section of webgui.conf.

restart apache.

Thats it.

This is an excellent idea.

I noticed the caveat about the URL for an Asset being included only if the tag has 1 Asset in it.  If that's a major limiting factor, it can be worked around by using a template for the body of the message.

I grabbed most of this code from NotifyAboutVersion workflow activity. My motivation for doing this was because macro's were not processed in this activity , and I couldnt specify an email recipient.  Also I needed this activity to accomplish the repetitive task of sending a notice out to my users notifying them that a new report is available.

I would love to be able to include a url to more than 1 assets' revisions.

If this workflow activity could include links to more than 1 asset, this could become an auditing activity (sort of).  Can you point me to an example of using a template for the body of the message?

Thanks, Chad
