Wrong page after Login ( reopen #11439)  (#11448)
Issue

[quote]

Testing StoryArchive, I initialised it on a page, viewable by admins.
Only now and then, after login,  I was redirected to the RSS-view.

Analizing this, I found following entries in "userSessionScratch":

d_ZwKOV1tvHqVWROHU7R1g  redirectAfterLogin  /nachrichtenarchiv
HHmQcVFFzLpyy5thJFsZNw  redirectAfterLogin  /nachrichtenarchiv?func=viewAtom

I think, this is a bug:

  1. There was no action to get a redirect, so why did these entries exist?
  2. These entries shouldn't be used. The sessionIds shouldn't be active any more.

Unfortunately the solution doesn't seem to work.
Today I came twice to the not wanted start page.

This time I didn't find it in SessionScratch.
Cache I regular deleted; How can the system know about
the old bug?

Btw: Is there a reason for not deleting everything of a session, if someone logs out?

Which cache are you deleting regularly, the server side cache, or the client (browser) cache?

Server side cache.
I'm using the browser (FF3.5) without cache, but there probably may be the problem, since history was cached and it perhaps was catching
something from that?

I'll give it a try with deleting everything after use, have an eye on other browsers and see what happens then.

I know it's only been a week, but has this reoccurred again?

Yes, today it happened again (but also in FF3.5). I haven't had the time to look at it intensively.

Now it happens regularly again, but not in Konqueror, Opera or Seamonkey.
So I believe more and more, that FF remembers something, which it shouldn't.
To test for that, I now changed the URL and see what happens.

Today, it occurred once again.
Now I also updated FF to 3.6 and see if it is gone.

It reoccurred again...
(but I still didn't see it in other browsers as FF)

I've got a new browser and a new link url for the page.
I didn't activate a feedlink.

If the problem was in WebGUI, it probably would not be browser specific.  This means that it is not related to bug #11485 http://www.webgui.org/use/bugs/tracker/11485

I did delete the original StoryArchive, which caused the problem and where I couldn't find the error.

Meantime I did have the same problem with another page, where the
after-login-page directed to an uploaded image url.

The image turned out to have wrong accessibility rights, so as long as
the visitor session was actual, I got the error.
Reloading (browser) after login worked (admin rights active).

Although the  behaviour was browser specific, the browsers were not
responsible for the error.

I found the error using the "Total Validator Tool".
Next time I'll use a StoryArchive and I would get redirected, I think to start looking at templates and user rights.

For now, I think you can close the bug.
