Issue

Some usability improvements for TBB:

* Provide a URL link in the article when looking at the full list so that I can send article links via email

* Provide a "Send to a friend" link on each article

* Remove the "Add a blog entry" link if I'm unprivileged to use it

Solution Summary

Edited the CS template for The Plain Black Blog to include a "Send to a Friend" link, both on the main page and on each individual entry. Evaluated the templates to ensure that people without the correct permissions could not post.

And I do agree with these and think they could draw more attention and thus users to WebGUI if this RFE would be implemented. As far as I can see this are just a few style changes. tabbtester 10/21/2008 6:44 pm	I've added a "Send to a Friend" link to the bottom of every blog entry on the main page, next to the "Comments" link. I've also add the "Send to a Friend" link to the individual views of the blog entries. Clicking on it prompts your default email program to open and inserts the link, along with some default text, into a new message. This should take care of your second point. Addressing your first point: you can retrieve the full URL of the blog entry you wish to link simply by clicking into that entry. Between that functionality and the ability to click "Send to a Friend", we don't think any further links need to be added at this time. Addressing your third point: done. :)
