Hi!

Maybe it's my fault, but I couldn't create a vertical menu with expandable submenu about different branches of the pagetree. I could create such a menu I described above, but it worked only for the entire pagetree. I tried to set it in the navigation asset to start from a specific point as a startingpoint. It worked as long as I checked pedigree to make it expandable. After pedigree turned on, the asset displayed menuitems beyond the specified branch.

So I'd like to see a more customizeable verticalMenu:

- The ability to set the branch I'd like to display.
- The ability to set the last displayed depth per branch.
- The ability to set the last displayed item remain active after you gone deeper into that branch.

I described already the need for the first feature at the beginning. Why I need the last two features?
The branch looks like that:
category/solution/product
Categories are like: building materials, roofing, ceiling and so on...
Solutions are our products that offer a solution to that category. Like: roofing/concrete-tiles/
And finally products are sometimes a quite long list of products.

The problem was that we don't wanted to display that long list in the navigation, just in the content area. I couldn't hide'em from navigation, because a crumbtrail was also used to display the current location of the user. So it would be nice to have an option to set the deepest level of display for a verticalMenu. The best solution I can imagine, is when you add a new page, mark it as "last", and in the navigation asset you can turn on/off to respect these markings. The other problem raised when navigating deeper into the product page. The highlight went away from the menuitem, because the "solution" item was no longer marked as selectedMenuItem. So it would be nice to have an option in the navigation asset to make the "last" marked pages also as selectedMenuItem if the user goes deeper.
