Have any of you tried using the general search box on the webgui.org site? It's pretty rough. I can see why people touched on this during the WUC town hall meeting. For example, if you search for "install" you are presented with a pile of links that are mostly out of date and not useful. A good portion of them are from 2005, related to WebGUI 6.x releases. In addition, the search returns all of the replies to those outdated posts. Yesterday, Kristi updated a bunch of the webgui.org pages and added the relevant metadata keywords. In addition, I've been working in the community wiki and other pages on the site to make them better. Neither Kristi or I are familiar with the inner workings of WebGUI's search engine, but we'd really like to see the search results improved. It would be great to have filtered results that are organized better (maybe by type?) and given priority based on when it was created on the site. For example, could we have the search come up with something like this?:================================================Results for "Install":Site content: (articles, pages, etc... that have matching metadata keywords) Search Result 1 This is the description of this result. Search Result 2 This is the description of this result.Community Wiki: Wiki Result 1 This is the description of this result. Wiki Result 2 This is the description of this result.WebGUI Forums: Forum Result 1 This is the description of this result. Forum Result 2 This is the description of this result.==================================This would really be helpful to the community and especially for new people who are checking out WebGUI for the first time.
