assetHistory log  (#10499)
Issue

when a parent asset is deleted, the children are also deleted.

But the fact that the children are deleted isn't logged in the assetHistory table.

Thanks!

Are you asking that every single asset that gets trashed, and then ultimately purged should be updated in the asset history table? So if I delete a forum, and it has 50,000 posts in it, I should add 50001 entries to the asset history table when it's trashed, and then another 50001 entries when it's purged?

Yes, I suppose I am. But I can see that that is a bit unreasonable for a log file.

A happy compromise then would be if I could traverse the trash bin. Currently I can only see that something has children, but you can't drill down to see those children.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! This will save many hours of tracking "what happened to my page?"  - It happens way too many times with my customers - they just don't get it. when they delete the page, everything below goes with it.
