Each year Plain Black hands out a new WebGUI t-shirt to attendees of the annual WebGUI Users Conference. Since this conference is centered around the WebGUI community, we'd like to give you the opportunity to design this year's t-shirt! The winner of the contest will be awarded 20,000 karma points and have the right to brag, “I designed that,” to every attendee of the conference. In addition, the winning t-shirt will be made available for purchase in the Plain Black Store, so Gooeyphiles across the globe can show off your winning design.

Here are the details:
  • T-shirt design entries need to be submitted to me by email, kristi@plainblack.com, by 12:00 PM CDT on Friday, April 18.
  • Format:
    • A vector format, like Adobe Illustrator, is preferred; however, raster images like photoshop, gimp, jpg, or tiff will work if they are 300 dpi and big enough
    • Files should be no smaller than 3x3 inches, and no bigger than 10x10 inches.
  • Each user who submits an entry will be awarded 1000 karma points.
  • Plain Black management will determine the top 5 t-shirt entries.
  • A poll, along with the top 5 t-shirt designs, will be placed on www.plainblack.com/wuc for voting no later than Wednesday, April 23 (watch for an announcement on plainblack.com and webgui.org).
  • Registered users may vote once for their favorite t-shirt design.
  • The winner will be announced on Thursday, May 1, 2008. 20,000 karma points and a free t-shirt will be awarded.

The top 5 entries will be chosen based on:
  • originality of the design
  • attractiveness of the design
  • the extent to which the design best illustrates what WebGUI is all about
  • all entries must be appropriate and of high quality; Plain Black management holds the right to eliminate entries of poor quality or offensive nature. If no suitable entries are submitted, Plain Black will produce a t-shirt of their own design.
