Today I ran testEnvironment for a server and when I tried to update LWP via testEnvironment it didn't work. Error message was "an unknown error occured".

So I did it manually and it worked like a charm. Same goes for DateTime::Format::HTTP and JavaScript::Packer.

That's likely a bug, there have been typos in testEnvironment.pl before.  Do you know which version of WebGUI you were using, and which version you upgraded to?

I have been trying for days now to do fresh installs on a few servers, I have been useing centos and now have tried debian.

I have tried the perl testEnviornment.pl and have got to dbi::mysql or other ? dbd::mysql mods. I also got to :: magik on another server. I dont remember all off them but they all fail in the end.

I have also tried to install the mods via cpan> on my systems no luck.....Is there a bug ??? or most likely its something i'm doing wrong.

I read the gotchas and have know idea where to go from here.

Is there any steps in a forum or wiki that will help me fix this.

I know that some mods need to be installed like NET::cidr::lite and such. Please help explain how this is done.

Thanks. Any tips or ideas would be so helpful

This is the last mod I think I need to install. Bellow is the error and i was able to install via cpan some other mods and the dependencies to DBD::mysql. I have googled this and was unable to get it installed by cpan>fforce install or was unable to remove it to try agin. It looks like the mysql from wre wont let it open it.

Has anyone had this problem and fixed it..Thanks

PLEASE NOTE:

For 'make test' to run properly, you must ensure that the
database user 'root' can connect to your MySQL server
and has the proper privileges that these tests require such
as 'drop table', 'create table', 'drop procedure', 'create procedure'
as well as others.

mysql> grant all privileges on test.* to 'root'@'localhost' identified by 's3kr1t';

You can also optionally set the user to run 'make test' with:

perl Makefile.pl --testuser=username

Wish I tried this a month ago shut the wre off in services. I had shut the services off (mysql/spectra/ perl/proxy never started) while trying to do the testEnvironment.pl and it gave me errors and baldness. Once I shut the wre off it updated all the mods and everything is back up and running.
