As I already wrote a few months ago: nice to hear!

I certainly will give it a try, also without WRE (since I'm already using a WRE-version, depending on native system packages)

However, as actual at that time, there still remain the answers to the points beneath. I'm wondering, why I didn't get even one reaction to the corresponding post.

Using 7.10 today, apart from the W8-TODO-list on this site and remembering the 5-7 change, which made a lot of people stop developing WG-sites, I should like to be informed about the some things like:

  • what are the benefits for changing?
  • what are the risks?
  • what about existing add-ons and application development?
    What about API-changes, compatibility etc.
  • what's happening with all the W7-RFE's and bug reports?
  • what do I need to learn for using W8?

Some clear statements and/or advices about using W8 would help very much to prevent unnecessary trouble.

To be clear, my response to your earlier post was to take advantage of the existing documentation in this forum, in the tracker, in IRC conversations, and from various blogs.

However, either that was too arduous to go and find, or it isn't clear enough for you.

Over the next several days, I will be answering your questions, one by one on the blog.  This time will have to come out my WebGUI/WRE 8 development time, so this will continue to delay the release.

To be clear, my response to your earlier post ...

To be clear, there was no response at all.

Over the next several days, I will be answering your questions, one by one on the blog.

I saw and appreciate that very well.

You are exactly right.  I was remembering a response to a post made after yours in a different thread in the developer's forum.

My apologies.
