I had a database link to an Oracle DB, but the database was removed . As a result, I could no longer edit the database links in the admin console as the page times out on the link that was removed. So you end up in the situation that to resolve the issue that you can't open the page to edit the database links you need to: open the page to delete the problematic one. I simply removed the record of problematic link in MySQL. Seemed to have done the trick. Now I am thinking to make a wiki entry on how to that. Outside the risk that you of course need to be careful if you this directly in the DB, is there any other reason not use this method if you end up in the same situation (i.e. should have removed more)? Or rather, any reason not to make the wiki page? |

I can't answer your question re: risk, but this seems like a bug to me. Perhaps a bug report would be useful as well? Susan B |
