Hello all. We are trying to implement an approval workflow for one of our calendars, where a group can enter events but they need to be approved by another group before going live. The workflow seems to work okay, but no matter what we do we can't get the event to go live as soon as the approval happens. It seems as though there is typically a 50-55 minute interval in the timing between the approval and the display of the event in the calendar. Our hope is that once the approval process takes place, the event will show up instantly. When looking at the running workflows, it shows this workflow in the suspended section, with a wait time of 3600 seconds (1 hour). Is there a way to get rid of this wait time so that the event goes live as soon as it's approved? FYI, our workflow contains just one activity, Request Approval for Version Tag. On approve we have it set to Commit Without Approval hoping that would do the trick. Any insight would be helpful into reducing/eliminating this wait time. Thanks in advance! --- (Edited on 8/19/2010 8:20 am [GMT-0400] by eleger81) --- |

Good news for you. This was posted as a bug, and fixed in WebGUI 7.8.23. When you commit a version tag, it will call up Spectre and finish processing the request (whether approved or denied) right away. --- (Edited on 8/19/2010 7:50 am [GMT-0700] by perlDreamer) --- |
