rsr, you have several options available to you. You can do a source install, where you manually install apache, mysqld, perl, all the perl modules, Image Magick and a whole slew of other packages. You can download the WRE (WebGUI Runtime Environment). This is a binary package where all the software mentioned above has been precompiled and tuned for running WebGUI. There may be a package for Ubuntu 9 already. There is a debian package for WebGUI. Please search the developer forum and the users forum for more information on that. Lastly, you may want to search the user's forum for other posts from users who have already tried this. I think I've seen 9.04 Ubuntu posts, but being a Fedora user I haven't paid much attention to them. --- (Edited on 6/24/2009 11:18 am [GMT-0700] by perlDreamer) --- |

I was able to install WRE on Ubuntu but as a Virtual Machine on a VMWare ESX Server. The installation went well but I am having issues after I rebooted the server and trying to figure them out. http://www.ubuntugeek.com/step-by-step-ubuntu-904-jaunty-lamp-server-setup.html Follow the about link to install the Ubuntu Server and follow the rest of the instructions on the Webgui site. Good Luck.
