Hi, I'm evaluating WebGUI against other CMSs. One of the key requirements is the ability to have an integrated translation workflow. For instance, if I create a page in English, I need to be able to send that page to various individuals to be translated. The translated pages are hooked into the appropriate country site.
Thanks. --- (Edited on 4/10/2008 7:22 pm [GMT-0500] by stockwet) --- |

WebGUI does not have that kind of functionality built in, but it would be perfect for a custom Workflow. Workflows are pluggable and handle all the "behind the scenes" kind of work in WebGUI, like sending and receiving email, clearing temporary files, handling version control commits with approvals, and so on. The way your Workflow would work is this. When a page is committed, it would create copies of that page in other areas of your site (in English) and then send emails to a group of users who are your translators. --- (Edited on 4/11/2008 10:35 am [GMT-0500] by colink) --- |

I posted a more general question about this, just now. Koen de Jonge - ProcoliX --- (Edited on 12-April-2008 23:49 [GMT+0200] by koen) --- |
