Apart from the terrible URLs you probaly will have with that location (and could change by an Apache redirect
or by editing the assets), the site could be technically ok as long as you gave the right access rights
to your assets and did set up the right page to start with.
However, it certainly would be better to move everything to /root/sitenameXX
