I am needing to create or adjust the default article template. Actually, the article css is what I'm wanting to a change so the width of the article asset is only 50%.  I tried copying both the article.css and the default article template but can't figure out how to select them on my own page layouts. I can only see the default selections that come with WebGui.  Cany anyone help with this?

Is the Template in the right namespace ?

On the Metadata tab of your copied template, at the bottom there is a field "Namespace".

This should say "Article" for it to be selectable as an Article template.

Sounds like you're on the right track. Make sure that the link tag in the copied article template points to the copied css snippet, and not to the original article.css: edit the article template, go to the metadata tab and change the href in the HEAD block to /css/article2.css (or whatever the new css snippet's URL is) and save.

Did you add an article asset to a layout via the New Content menu? If so, edit that article; if not, add it now. Select your new template in the display tab and save. Try it with a default style and layout template if you're using your own.

This makes me think you forgot to change the URL to the css snippet in the article template, like I described above. Let us know if you need more help.

Good luck,
