I needed to add a new navigation menu on the left side of the website. Currently, I have a main menu (horizontal) on top which has the following links: About GPS, The Latest News, Tell A Friend and Site Map. They are currently located in "root/home/about_gps". I was able to make another navigation for the left side of my website. Unfortunately, the same links as the main menu appears on the menu. I need to have a new set of links on the left side: ie. Product 01, Product 02, and so on. What do I need to do to accomplish this? Do I need to set up a page layout just like home (root/products/product01)? How will I be able to make the links (Product 01, Product 02, and so on) appear on the left menu? Hoping to hear from you guys. Thanks a lot in advance! --- (Edited on 6/15/2009 9:15 pm [GMT-0500] by scofield888) --- |

In your navigation asset you can choose where the navigation starts: relative to root or a specific url or at the current page. Further you can choose which relatives to start. Oh and when an asset is hidden for navigation that is for all navigations, unless you override that in the display tab of your navigation

One other tidbit, is you can use redirects to put things into your navigation. From the Content Manager's guide: Redirect is a way to place a link in the navigation that redirects users to a separate URL, either internal or external. An example of when this might be used would be to direct a registered user to an external email server. Susan B --- (Edited on 6/16/2009 08:50 [GMT-0700] by susanb) --- |
