Are there plans for the User Profiling API going to get a memcached work-over in wg8?Currently a lot of wg code queries the userProfileData table directly via SQL, I'm guessing for performance reasons. Are there plans to migrate that code to API calls for memcacheability? I'd be rather happy if that happened because it would make it a lot easier for WebGUI::Crypt to support User Profiling fields. There aren't any plans do to so. You have seen the roadmap I would assume by this point. If it's not on there, then it's not planned for WebGUI 8. However, that doesn't mean we wouldn't welcome you to scratch your own itch. If you're interested in accepting the challenge, then I'm interested in having the help. =) |
