Event Calendar date start/finish field not working correctly with individual and re-occuring events  (#3048)
Issue

I've just placed the calendar asset on a page http://www.cbcaz.org/calendar 

 I'm trying to add an event that happens at the same time every Wednesday.  I have had 2 things happen:

1.  It doesn't honor the reoccuring parameters and just puts the calendar on one day (the wrong day, which is Tuesday).

2.  It is able to add the re-occuring, and the first one is the day-of-the week I specified (wednesday) and then all of the re-occuring ones are on Tuesday.

What is it about the calendar that keeps putting it on Tuesday (which is actually today).

I am having the same problem. I post an event and use the recurrence feature and the event shows the day before. I try to remove the recurrence and get errors on the recurrence pattern. The only way to remove the recurrence is by deleting every event, one by one. I am giving up on using the Calendar for now. The bad thing is that it is in my clients site, and they were planning on using it... By the way, my site just got updated with the newest stable version.

Hello PB staff,

Is there any kind of ETA for the calendar bugs?  It is probably one of the highest priority requests from most of my clients.

Can you please file a separate bug for the deleting recurrance problems?

What is it about the calendar that keeps putting it on Tuesday (which is actually today).

On the Add/Edit Event form, inside the Recurrance tab, there is a field called "start".  It defaults to today, and no matter what the Event Start date is, that day will be the reference date for the recurrance.

I am told that this is the way Outlook works, so to make a familiar interface the Event recurrance was set up the same way.

So it's way confusing, but not a bug.  To get it changed, you need to file an RFE.

Hi. This problem still occurs. I submitted a bug report 12274 in 2011, and I'm still coming across this. This bug really renders the calendar useless. So perhaps people have abandoned the calendar, but that's not an option for me. I finally figured out this bug.  If the time occurs in the night time, the event is scheduled the day prior. In otherwards I have an event every evening wednesday. And WebGUI instead schedules it every evening on tuesday. But after deleting all the bad events. And i recreate it for recoccuring wednesday mornings, webgui correctly schedules it every wednesday.

I've confirmed this for every day of the week. I'm looking at the code, and i'm a bit rusty. if maybe someone can point me to the right direction, I can fix, test and submit. I'm just not seeeing anything. I'm looking in calendar.pm and DateTime.pm and Event.pm
