This actually isn't a bug.  The reason why the attachment isn't showing up is because you are previewing the text in the RTE (Rich Text Editor).  The post doesn't actually exist yet, so the attachment isn't uploaded.

If you want to see this implemented into WebGUI, please post this request on the RFE board.

You might not consider this a bug, but it's not a RFE neither. It's an "obvious behaviour"... Just try to be in a user perspective for a moment: once they attached a file, they would expect the attachment to be uploaded also if they click preview, not just if they click send. Note that the preview button is placed alongside the send button, below the attachment line. So it's just logical that preview should apply to Attachment too (upload it) just like the Send button. If a specific thing is done wrong in WebGUI, why should it be considered an RFE? Mac and Mac OS X Server power user

Here's the deal max. Your definition of "wrong" isn't the same as my definition of wrong. Just like my definition of wrong may not be the same as anyone else's definition of wrong. And since this is my bug board, you'll follow my rules. If i tell you it's an RFE, then it is. Just accept it. Don't argue. The more you argue the more we ignore you.

It may make sense from the user's perspective to upload the file, but the reality is that your post doesn't exist yet at the preview stage, therefore, there's nothing to attach it do. Could we change this to work differently, absolutely...but change by it's very definition is an RFE.

This bug is closed. If you open it or respond to it again, I'll simply delete it without a response. Instead post an RFE as we have asked.
