When a time field is used in a Thing, the value stored to the database is in seconds from midnight (e.g., 4:30pm is stored as 59400). When a user goes to edit the field again, the value is shown as seconds. When this gets saved, it gets recalculated into seconds again. Each time the record is edited, the value gets further and further from the original entry.
