Images to use with http://www.alistapart.com/articles/slidingdoors/.

Images were created with The Gimp. Free to use for any purpose whatsoever.

The results should look similar to ... of course you may wish to change your A colors, etc.

----
UPDATE: I took up the challenge from JT, and here 'tis...
  1. This theme is Public Domain. Licensed for any use whatsoever. (ETA: I assume no liability for its use, either. If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.)
  2. You will need to use a ^AssetProxy("ColorTabStyleSheet"); INSIDE your OWN <style> tags in your own Page Template.
  3. You will need to add ^AssetProxy("colorTab"); in an appropriate place.
  4. Apparently, you also need to 'Configure' colorTab Navigation to use the ColorTabs Layout
Feedback and questions will be appreciated and answered, respectively.

This would likely be more interesting if the zip file also contained a webgui theme with a navigation template that used the images. That way people wouldn't have to hand code all the stylesheet stuff from that web site themselves. If it had this, it might even win a prize in the contest.

I did it, but I don't have drop down capabilities, yet. It gets pretty big on the default WebGUI demo page.

another example

Just thought I'd post a URL where I've implemented this on my own (about 6 months ago, in webgui 6.x.x), using tabs very similar to the ones in the sliding door example.

http://www.bios.net/

Note the second level navagation under the tabs on sub pages:
